Welcome to your very own World Cup blog Guy!

Firstly, thanks for doing this at such short notice (and without knowing exactly what to expect!). To give you some context, this forms part of a wider project that we're working on, and your input will be invaluable in helping us understand how 'men like you' behave in the lead up to and during the World Cup.

That said, I'm interested in hearing your views and opinions on all things football! In particular, what you find exciting (or not) during the tournament, how you are consuming the event and the content around it, your stories from all of this, as well as some pictures if you really want to push the boat out!

Here are some useful pointers to give you an idea of the kind of thing we're looking for:

• Your feelings and emotions around the World Cup
• How you are using different media channels to access the World Cup
• Your opinions about the event sponsors and your perceptions of the brands
• Any World Cup related advertising that you found interesting
• Anything else that peaked your interest in the tournament

To help you do this, I'll be sending you a short list of questions via email over the next six weeks - you should use these questions to guide your blog for that particular week. Each blog can be as long or short as you like, and if you're really enjoying writing for us, please don't feel restricted to just one a week....this is your forum, so log on and use it as much as you like!

As a minimum, I'm expecting you to submit at least one blog on the following dates:

• Weds 2nd June
• Weds 9th June
• Weds 16th June
• Weds 23rd June
• Weds 30th June
• Weds 7th July
